July 8, 2003
Purpose of meeting
Discuss ideas for integrating technology into the curriculum; discuss teacher
surveys.
Attendees Janet
Brinkop, Carolynn Chase, Al Coleman, Marty McMahon, Marian Miller, Jim Skeen,
and Carolyn Wittman.
We reviewed our decisions made at the last meeting, on March 6, 2003. We decided to drop the computer/community skill survey, originally planned for May, 2003 (i.e., the survey of students first made in the Fall of 2002).
We decided to postpone a newly created student survey, originally planned for September, 2003, until later.
We decided to survey ESL/ABE/GED staff at Sequoia Adult school re technology skills and use of technology in the curriculum. We'll do this to establish a baseline that will help document progress made under grants made to the school, as well as help us determine necessary training for teachers.
Action Items
Jim Check with OTAN support person to find other surveys, already designed by other schools.
Jim Write up draft versions of teacher survey, using feedback from Tech Committee meeting.
