Purpose of meeting          Discuss priorities for technology at the School

Meeting Summary

1.    School priorities for technology.  

Carolyn Wittman is writing part 2 of an important grant.   She asked the Technology Committee to list the most important priorities for technology at the school.   These are to include all areas:  staff development, software, access, tech support, and equipment.

After discussion, we ranked the top 6 technology needs for the school.  They are, in ranked order:

  1. Provide training to instructors on computer usage and on software installed in labs.

  2. Staff the position of computer resource teacher/tutor/mentor.

  3. Replace outdated computers in Rooms 27, 22, and 23.

  4. Provide training to instructors on integrating technology into instruction.

  5. Install TV monitors/VCR's in all classrooms.

  6. Provide multimedia projectors for computer labs.
